Tasks
Our team’s vision is to leverage all customer and household insights, across all touchpoints, to deliver a data-driven, AI-enabled, always-on communication along the customer journey in an omni-channel manner, to win the hearts of our customers for life. We drive commercial data enablement and hyper-personalization & contextualization across Deutsche Telekom's European NatCos. In this role as B2C Data Domain Owner:
- you will lead data enablement with focus on the commercial area and base managementyou will support building data ownership knowledge and practice, advocate for a data-driven company, and facilitate the business's transition into a data-driven environment
- you will be identifying data needs of the commercial area to driving data cloudification in our NatCos from commercial side
- you will be defining data solutions and models supporting base management to implementing MVPs in NatCos and developing long-term roadmaps.
- your focus will be on prioritizing data foundations, coordinate data domain responsibilities, supporting data ownership and governance, working closely with central and local Product, Data & NT/IT teams ensuring X-domain collaboration and successful deployment
- additionally, you will support and coordinate central initiatives aimed at delivering scalable data solutions (data products) across all NatCos
- you will also be responsible for preparing management updates and fostering a strong Data Business Enablement community by facilitating best practice sharing and knowledge exchange within the group.
Profile
You have an MSc in information technology, Business or a comparable qualification and a work experience of many years in the field of data strategy and management.
In addition, you are characterized by the following knowledge and skills:
- You will have 5+ years of professional data experience, with a strong foundation in data governance, data management or enterprise data strategy
- Deep understanding of commercial data and ML tools in the context of base management - including how it supports driving business performance
- Proven ability to lead data initiatives, influence stakeholders and drive change across business and technical teams.
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, tools and practices - including metadata management, data quality, and lineage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate governance principles into business value.
- Experience working in agile or matrix environments in a complex, dynamic and cross-functional environments (involving multiple teams across geographics is advantageous)
- Previous working experience in telco and knowledge of DT Europe markets would be preferred
- Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, additional language from our European footprint is advantageous
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
